Recently, Paul had the privilege of speaking at Archbishop Holgate’s School in York. It was a personal milestone for him — delivering eight One Punch Ruins Lives talks in one day, reaching 1,900 young people across Years 7–13, including alternative provision and SEND students.
He delivers his talks to make a difference. So when Paul receives feedback about the impact Paul Talks has had on young people, he is genuinely humbled.
Here are just a few of the powerful messages students shared about ‘what they would take away from the talk’:
“To think about your actions before doing them.”
“To be very cautious in public places and to respect the power and consequences of violence.”
“Be more careful with my emotions.”
“Do NOT punch someone. It could ruin their life — and yours. You could spend many years in prison, with the guilt looming over you like a shadow, like it’s bullying you forever.”
“Violence does not solve anything; it only makes things worse.”
This is why he does what he does.
Paul is ready to support more schools beyond the Humber region and continue making a difference.
